JAZZ in the Schools

The Jazz in the Schools Program was started in 2014 by Bart Weisman, Founder, Executive Producer & Performer for the Provincetown Jazz Festival. For many children this is their first chance to hear live Jazz and participate in a program to learn about Jazz history and all styles of Jazz. This program is for the entire school and presented by Bart Weisman on drums from Orleans with Fred Boyle on piano from South Yarmouth and Rich Hill on bass from East Falmouth. Presentations have been made at public schools across Cape Cod and all of this at no cost to the schools. The program is funded by the non-profit Provincetown Jazz Festival.

What Teachers Are Saying...

"Sending along compliments from our teachers and staff. It was really well done, the right amount of time, and your delivery was both calm and entertaining. We all appreciated the audience participation part for engaging our students in a meaningful way."

"Thank you for a wonderful assembly today. The students were really into the music and we were all impressed with the presentation. It was great to see you connect through the music and on a personal level too!"
