ALAN CLINGER began his studies on jazz guitar with Richard Andrews and continued with Jon Wheatley in Cambridge, and occasionally with Howard Alden in New York. Since then he has been given opportunities to work with many of the local jazz greats. Alan plays in the mainstream tradition, including in his repertoire early swing through bebop. He has performed solo, in small ensemble & big band groups throughout Cape Cod and has played at guitar festivals in California and New York.
